Why Do You Support Israel, Again?

This article is aimed at the religious fanatics who support Israel against Palestine. Yes, they are fanatics and there is no other description for it. Yes, you can be offended but not for long.

The reason so many people in the US claim to support Israel is because they believe in a quote from the Bible stating that whomever turns against Israel will be then ignored by God. The claims are fairly vague and there is no direct specific quote to offer.

Even if there were a direct quote, this is where the claims run into very big problems.

Let’s assume that their beliefs are true. What, exactly, does it mean to turn against “Israel”? While the Bible speaks to specific events in geographic areas, the term “Israel” is more problematic for the modern interpretation. In biblical terms, “Israel” is not a geographic location but a people. The blood descendants of the 12 tribes of Israel originating with King David.

Now, modern Christians in the US define this as meaning Jewish people. However, Judaism is a religion which has spanned the globe over centuries. Yet when one studies the Quran, they find that Islam has many of the same legend as Judaism, with the same characters and lineage. In fact, today’s Muslims in Palestine and (at least western) Syria, Jordan and other Middle Eastern nations share the same historical heritage as those in Israel. The Quran even mentions Jesus a total of 25 times. While they do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah, the Quran states Jesus will return and battle what we interpret as the “Antichrist” and save the Muslims, not just the Christians.

Then we run into other problems. For one, Israel did not exist as a nation with geographic boundary until 1948. It is a political construct created not by the Middle Eastern culture but by western governments, mostly UK and US. Many of the current residents of Israel were European Jews who migrated to the area after WWII. While they descended from bloodlines originating in the Middle East, while in Europe for centuries, the bloodlines became mixed with other bloodlines.

During the same centuries, the Palestinians and others in that region remained in that immediate area, generation after generation without significant external DNA being introduced.

Today, we often hear the term “semitic” as pertaining to the believers in the Jewish religion. This is a distorted definition. The actual definition, according to Merriam-Webster is: “of, relating to, or constituting a subfamily of the Afro-Asiatic language family that includes Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, and Amharic”. They have added the definition of “Jewish” but that is the last meaning, not the primary and many scholars do not recognize it. So, what it truly pertains to is a bloodline, a race of people. The exact same people that descended from the original 12 Davidic tribes.

In addition to common sense, DNA blood tests have shown clearly that Palestinians, Syrians, Jordanians and some Arab tribes have DNA far closer to the original semitic blood line than many modern Israelis do.

Let me repeat that. The Palestinians are closer by blood to the Davidic bloodline than modern Israelis are on average.

So, while the residents of the modern political construct of Israel attempt to portray themselves as being the true Davidic peoples, this is the opposite of the truth.

What this means is that the modern state of Israel, while conducting genocide and war against the people of Palestine and Syria, among other states in the region, they are literally waging war AGAINST the TRUE Israelis as defined in biblical terms.

I have pointed out in the past that Israel has at some point attacked every single neighbor in the immediate area to them. While they claim other nations had plans (no actions, just alleged plans) to invade them, no proof was ever offered. In recent years declassified documents have revealed clearly that no such plans ever existed. Yet Israel has invaded Egypt, Syria (still illegally occupying the Golan Heights), Cyprus, Jordan and Lebanon, not to mention to the illegal occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, violating treaty lines with their housing colonies.

In addition, they once attacked a US ship, the USS Liberty. Declassified documents have proven that Israel was fully aware that this was a US vessel before the attack ever occurred.

Israel has not been invaded by the forces of any other nation since 1949. No effort has been made to invade Israel since that time. Thus their claims of self defense make no sense at all.

Have you noticed that terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda and ISIS have NEVER attacked Israel?

At this moment, Israel is making serious attempts to start a US coalition war with Iran, who has not invaded another country since 1798. Keep in mind that Iran has had a large Jewish population for thousands of years. Today Iran houses the second largest Jewish population in the Middle East, second only to Israel. The majority of that Jewish population have never left the continent and so likely have a much more direct Davidian bloodline and tradition than the Israeli population.

Every government in the UN has formally or informally recognized Palestine as a nation. Except two governments- Israel and the US.

What does all this mean to the religious fanatics, especially alleged Christians? It means that every aspect of their support for Israel goes directly against their claimed belief systems. What they support is the systematic torture and genocide of innocent civilians with little ability to defend themselves. These fanatics support theft, illegal occupation, denial of clean water, inadequate access to food and medicine or medical care, theft of resources and the outright murder of children. All being waged against the actual blood descendants of the original Davidian tribes. Keep in mind that the Temple is supposed to be shared occupancy between Israel and Palestine. Yet Israel is denying Palestinian access to the Temple.

The Christian Bible states that Armageddon will be initiated by a false prophet who leads a coalition of nations against Israel. However, that means the biblical Israel, not the political construct Israel. The political construct of modern Israel is building a coalition and taking steps which will certainly result in a backlash which will lead to the fall of both the biblical and modern Israel, which will likely include the destruction of the Temple.

Jewish people do not believe Jesus was the Messiah. Muslims, who share many of the same belief systems, do not believe Jesus was the Messiah. Yet Muslims also share some beliefs with Christianity, including that Jesus will fight against the Antichrist on the SAME side as Muslims. So, NO, Islam and Christianity are NOT opposing religions.

Ultimately, by supporting the modern political construct being called Israel, the western religious fanatics have turned their backs on the true biblical Israel and support a murderous, despotic, invasive, ungodly, warmongering regime. They have turned their backs on the teachings of their religion regarding peace, humility, selflessness, forgiveness and truth. They have closed their eyes to the suffering, death and atrocities they support. By their own belief system, they have turned their backs on their own God and consciously, intentionally chosen to follow false prophets. Which means their God will turn his back on them. For good reason.

No, Tulsi Is Not “Pro-Israel”. Stop Being Lazy!

Since Tulsi called out Hillary, the biggest argument being used against her is because she opposes Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS).

Many people are using this argument without knowing the facts. It is a simplified talking point with no substance. So, let’s debunk this one now.

Yes, she opposes the BDS movement specifically. In no way does she support the punishment of those raising their voices. She supports freedom of speech and backs it up.

The first thing to look at is why she opposes the BDS movement. It is spelled out clearly in HR246 (link), which she voted in favor of . The major points of which are:

Whereas the Global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement (BDS Movement) targeting Israel is a campaign that does not favor a two-state solution and that seeks to exclude the State of Israel and the Israeli people from the economic, cultural, and academic life of the rest of the world;

Whereas the Global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement is one of several recent political movements that undermines the possibility for a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by demanding concessions of one party alone and encouraging the Palestinians to reject negotiations in favor of international pressure;

Whereas the founder of the Global BDS Movement, Omar Barghouti, has denied the right of the Jewish people in their homeland, saying, “We oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No Palestinian, rational Palestinian, not a sell-out Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”; (bold mine)

Whereas the Global BDS Movement targets not only the Israeli government but also Israeli academic, cultural, and civil society institutions, as well as individual Israeli citizens of all political persuasions, religions, and ethnicities, and in some cases even Jews of other nationalities who support Israel;

Whereas the Global BDS Movement does not recognize, and many of its supporters explicitly deny, the right of the Jewish people to national self-determination;

Whereas university-based Global BDS efforts violate the core goals of the university and global cultural development, which thrive on free and open exchange and debate, and in some cases, leads to the intimidation and harassment of Jewish students and others who support Israel;

Whereas the Global BDS Movement promotes principles of collective guilt, mass punishment, and group isolation, which are destructive of prospects for progress towards peace and a two-state solution;

Resolved, That the House of Representatives —

(1) opposes the Global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement (BDS Movement) targeting Israel, including efforts to target United States companies that are engaged in commercial activities that are legal under United States law, and all efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel;

(2) urges Israelis and Palestinians to return to direct negotiations as the only way to achieve an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict;

(3) affirms the Constitutional right of United States citizens to free speech, including the right to protest or criticize the policies of the United States or foreign governments; (bold mine)

(5) reaffirms its strong support for a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict resulting in two states — a democratic Jewish State of Israel, and a viable, democratic Palestinian state — living side-by-side in peace, security, and mutual recognition.

To go further, she cosponsored HR496 (link), the major points of which are:

Affirming that all Americans have the right to participate in boycotts in pursuit of civil and human rights at home and abroad, as protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Resolved, That the House of Representatives —

(1) affirms that all Americans have the right to participate in boycotts in pursuit of civil and human rights at home and abroad, as protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution;

(2) opposes unconstitutional legislative efforts to limit the use of boycotts to further civil rights at home and abroad; and

(3) urges Congress, States, and civil rights leaders from all communities to endeavor to preserve the freedom of advocacy for all by opposing antiboycott resolutions and legislation.

Now, these are only excerpts of these bills. I have provided links for anyone choosing to read the bills in their entirety, which I am guessing nobody reading this has done.

Stop using Establishment talking points without looking deeper into things which do not fit the picture. It took me one single search term to find out the facts on this. Yet people will spend hours arguing, using the exact same talking points for months without bothering to enter that one search into their browser.

Try harder.

AIPAC and Israeli Influence in US Elections

Recently, Ilhan Omar was forced to issue an apology for her criticism of the influence of the lobbying oragnization AIPAC in US elections. There was no reason for her to issue an apology. Her criticism is valid.

Any and every time anyone even remotely suggests criticism of AIPAC, their criticism is distorted into an antisemitic message. Yet consider the name behind the definition. American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Now, do you see any mention of any religion in that name? Or only the name of two countries? Because that name has nothing to do with any religion. If you see it there, you should see a psychiatrist for your hallucinations.

For 2 1/2 years we have been inundated by unproven claims that maybe Russia influenced our election via $100,000 worth of social media ads, half of which was spent after the election was over, half of which had no directly political content, the rest of which supported Trump and Hillary and Bernie and Jill Stein. Interestingly, it seems none supported Johnson. Even Russian trolls hate Libertarians. Which I consider to their credit.

Meanwhile, AIPAC donates massive sums of money annually to politicians in both major parties. Millions of dollars. In the open. From a country to whom the US gives nearly $4 BILLION every year, which comes from US taxpayer pockets.

Many Americans support Israel and on many occasions I have asked them directly, why? I know the answer, of course. It’s not because they support Judaism. It’s not because they have any clue what Israel stands for as a nation. It’s mostly because of religious indoctrination. However, no small part of it is also because of paid marketing which takes many forms including TV shows and movies, in addition to campaign “donations” for speeches favorable to Israel and attacks on anyone not blindly obedient to Israeli support.

American citizens supportive of Israel are typically brainwashed into that support. Made to believe that all Palestinians are terrorists, yet willfully ignorant of the conditions which Palestinians are forced to live under. Forced by Israel.

Israeli forces have been shooting at peaceful, unarmed Palestinian protesters who have been wanting nothing more than reclaim lands stolen from them by Israel gradually over decades. Journalists and medical personnel have been shot, even while wearing vests labeling their roles. Children injured, permanently disabled and killed by Israeli bullets.

Those supportive of Israel are willfully blind to the fact that the UN has criticized Israel for over 50 years for illegal occupation of Palestine and the Golan Heights in Syria. The UN peacekeeping force maintains a semi-permanent presence to separate the Golan Heights from the rest of Syria in an attempt to fence Israel in.

That is completely aside from the also illegal occupation of Palestine, which is not allowed a formal military force to defend against Israeli aggression. Over decades, Israel has expanded housing colonies declared illegal under international law, encroaching ever further across Palestine. Those colonies are connected by highways on which Palestinians can be shot for simply walking across the road.

Palestinians live under trade sanctions imposed by Israel, enforced by the US government. Those trade sanctions keep all of Palestine in poverty, with over 40% unemployment. Israeli forces regularly fire upon and kill Palestinian fishermen in Palestinian waters.

Most Palestinians have no access to clean water. In some areas the water is only turned on for a few hours 1–2 times a week. Power is controlled by Israel and only turned on for 4 hours a day. Making refrigeration and climate control impossible. Keep in mind, this is in the desert.

Meanwhile, Israel has never helped America in any way that did not stand to directly benefit Israel. They have not helped in armed conflicts. Nor humanitarian relief.

Israel continually claims to be under attack or a victim in some form. Yet documents and past news reports have shown that they have instigated every single military conflict they have engaged in. They have attacked every single neighboring nation at some point, other than Saudi Arabia. They have attacked Palestine, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Cyprus, Jordan, Sinai and Lebanon. In addition, in 1967 Israel attacked the USS Liberty in a bombardment lasting over an hour, killing 34 crew members and injuring 171. Israel claimed it was a case of mistaken identity, yet the ship was displaying the US flag at the time.

In the current Syrian conflict, Israel has admitted to lending assistance to Al Qaeda members, in addition to repeatedly bombing Syria, using a Russian aircraft as cover during one attack, leading to the Russian craft being shot down and the crew killed. The Russian craft was firing on terrorists while the Israelis were openly attacking Syrian ground positions. In another instance, Israeli jets bombing ground positions in Syria used a civilian airliner as cover in a blatant attempt to trick Syrian forces into shooting down a civilian craft. Syria did not take the bait. At no time has Israel been attacked from Syrian territory during the Syrian conflict.

Now, in all of this, do you see any negative mention of any religion? Anywhere? Being against a murderous state government which has been duplicitous and murderous for generations is not an attack on a religion.

There is nothing unreasonable in not wanting proven interference in our government from another country, no matter what their lobbying and propaganda machine claims.

Leave Syria Alone

Since Trump announced ground troops would be leaving Syria soon, we have seen a lot of controversy and a lot of questions have been raised.

First, be clear on the fact that he only talked about ground troops. In no way has he stated that we would no longer be bombing the country. So it is very possible that US forces may continue bombing Syria unabated.

The neoliberal centrists have thrown absolute fits. Now claiming that we should remain in Syria to “protect the Kurds”. Of course, this line is repeated over and over by the mindless sycophants, most of whom had never heard of Kurds before a few months ago, probably a majority of whom never heard of Kurds before a few days ago. That’s when they were instructed what to think by corporate media in between ads from military contractors and clips of pro-war speeches by Hillary and the DNC elite.

What the corporate media fails to mention is the fact that the Kurds have met on multiple occasions with Assad in an attempt to reach a peaceful arrangement. They have, up to now, rejected any arrangement offered because they want to break Syria into multiple parts to form a new Kurdish nation.

Another thing they fail to point out is the fact that the biggest threat the Kurds face right this moment is by Turkey. The same Turkey to whom the US has been selling weapons for years, possibly decades and continue to do so. The same Turkey which is a member of NATO. The same Turkey which is home to Incirlik Air Base, which hosts forces of Turkey, the US, UK, Saudi Arabia and Spain. Yet we are going to help “protect” the Kurds from Turkey? Really?

The US is also giving money to Israel, then selling them weapons. So we are literally paying for the weapons Israel is buying. What does Israel do with those weapons or at least part of them? Attack Syria. The rest they use to attack Palestine.

Then we buy oil from Saudi Arabia. Who funds terrorists. To attack Syria and Yemen. We sell weapons to Saudi Arabia. So we are funding Saudi terrorism in the worst human rights atrocities since at least Pol Pot in Cambodia. Whom we supported directly and indirectly.

I’ve already written in the past how our weapons are sold at a loss. That article is here: https://medium.com/@russellmeyers_35963/arms-sales-create-jobs-cf4eec9a714c

The media also fails to point out the fact that our very presence in Syria has always been illegal. It was never authorized by Syria or Russia or the UN Security Council. Those are the only entities that could have issued authorization. Russia is in Syria legally because their assistance was requested by the Syrian government. Iran is in Syria legally because they offered assistance and it was accepted.

Some claim we are assisting Israel, yet Israel has militarily occupied the Golan Heights since 1966 illegally according to the UN.

Keep in mind that the US has not won a single military campaign since WWI, if even then. Even WWII was won more by Russia than the US and allies. Yet we have been at war in some form nearly every single year of the existence of this country.

Keep in mind that when the US steps back, there are typically greater chances for peace in other countries. It is when we get involved that military tensions ratchet up dramatically. While I am no fan of Trump and do not trust him, try and name the last time a sitting president engaged in peace talks with any country in a meaningful way. Then try and name the last time our country engaged in peace talks without imminent threat of invasion, bombing, etc.

Try and name the last time this country was directly threatened. Our government makes continuous claims that there have been attacks or threats to “our assets”. Meaning our military installations. Which reside in nearly every country on earth. If our military installations did not exist in other countries, they could not be threatened. They are threatened or attacked because of our involvement in the affairs of countries in which we truly have no rightful business except as intermediaries. Yet how often are we intermediaries, rather than primary actors of force and suppression? How many violent dictators have we installed or assisted to power? The Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Pol Pot, Pinochet and the list goes on. How many elections have we interfered in? How many leaders have we overthrown? How many times have we ignored the will of the United Nations Security Council and even the General Assembly?

How much of our lives can we spend in terror that some other country may go some direction which we have not dictated? How much of our nation’s wealth can we steal from our own citizens to spend on bombs, bullets, aircraft carriers, drones, missiles, nuclear weapons? How many chemical weapons in the form of depleted uranium and white phosphorous can we use on other countries, then bomb a government when our proxy terrorists use chlorine or there has been no attack at all?

How many Americans must go without medical care, food housing, education and jobs so we can keep paying for the profits of military contractors? For every penny paid to them, we lose a penny which can benefit our own people.

We cannot afford to wage any more wars. We don’t have the money and we cannot borrow the money. No, it does not create jobs. No, it does not make us safer. No, it does not make our allies safer.

It is time for the American Empire to fall, to fail. It is time to bring our troops home. It is time to stop building bombs and start building bridges and schools. It is time to let the military contractors go broke. It is time to use diplomacy. Words rather than weapons. Before the rest of the world makes our decision for us.
