So, You Want To Protect Whistle Blowers?

This past week, the Democrats filed for impeachment proceedings and have been riled up about protecting a whistle blower who reported Trump’s call to the Ukrainian president.

One interesting thing about this is that this whistle blower did not actually witness the call, from all appearances. Instead, he heard about the call from someone who heard about the call from someone who heard the call.

That’s fine. I support protection of whistle blowers in all cases. Though I already made a video examining the transcript of that call and it’s another nothingburger. Frantic ranting of deranged neoliberals literally protecting the corruption of one of their own elite. Not to mention another attempted distraction to keep from having to discuss policies or answer for their attacks on Progressive voters.

The most hypocritical thing of which I am sure you are aware is the continued incarceration of Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. The same democrats were completely silent when John Kiriakou was convicted in 2012 under the Obama administration.

Let’s compare what was revealed by each of these with the current, unnamed whistle blower.

Chelsea Manning forwarded information to the media regarding US military murder of journalists and civilians in Iraq. While these events were reported by many media outlets, what is most known about was her connection with Julian Assange, who published documents provided by Manning which revealed the murder of civilians by US military forces in Afghanistan, most notably the video which you can still view on YouTube titled “Collateral Murder”. In that video, US forces fired on 10 civilians, including two Reuters journalists and children in a van. She also forwarded documents regarding the torture of detainees held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

John Kiriakou was a CIA analyst and counter-terrorism officer who leaked documents revealing the torture of detainees by waterboarding. It was later revealed that the case of waterboarding he revealed was not the singular instance Kiriakou knew about. That person was waterboarded a total of 83 times.

Julian Assange is a journalist and chief editor of Wikileaks. Contrary to the image portrayed in the US media, Wikileaks publishes leaked documents from countries around the world, including tens of thousands of Russian documents. Wikileaks does not hack anyone at all but receives documents from leakers who obtain the documents and provide them. Wikileaks protects their sources yet provides the evidence to the public, which have been journalistic standards for decades. Most notable have been the Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay documents provided by Chelsea Manning, above. Then the leaked DNC emails during the 2016 election cycle which revealed intentional election rigging by the DNC.

Something which should absolutely be noted about the DNC leaks. Veteran intelligence professionals have analyzed the data rate of the transfer which illustrated clearly that the emails were not hacked but leaked by a person with internal access to the emails. Julian Assange and Wikileaks have never revealed the source of the emails.

The most important thing to note is that the DNC is not a government agency. It is a private political organization. No information residing on their servers can be considered classified or in any way relating to national security. The DNC receives federal funding, provided courtesy of your tax dollars. The DNC charter contains provisions for conducting primaries fair to all candidates. Even so, they used the defense in court when sued for fraud that they had no obligation to provide a fair primary. The actual words in court were that they could choose their nominee “in a smoke filled back room”.

Kiriakou spent years in federal prison. Manning spent years in federal prison in isolation where she became suicidal multiple times due to the emotional stress. Julian Assange has spent years in virtual incarceration in the Ecuadorian embassy, knowing the US would have him deported to the US to stand in unfair, closed door trial in which the public would not be allowed to hear the proceedings. Earlier this year he was arrested by the UK authorities and is currently in Belmarsh prison, in failing health, awaiting deportation to the US. Manning is again incarcerated related to the same charges she already served time for, which is double jeopardy.

Edward Snowden was an NSA contractor who revealed the fact that our own government spies on us. All of our electronic communications are monitored and recorded at all times. For revealing that truth, he was forced into exile in Russia. This occurred in 2013, under Obama. He remains in exile in Russia to this day. Recently, the US government seized the profits from his memoir, the number one selling book in the country.

So, we have whistle blowers who have revealed mass surveillance of innocent civilians, torture, murder and illegal rigging of elections. The Democrats have not only not protected these whistle blowers but played very active roles in the charging and conviction of each whistle blower named. They remain actively opposed to the release of Manning or Assange. They remain opposed to the exoneration of Snowden.

To make this clear, the charges against Assange do not stem from the release of the DNC emails. He is being indicted for the release of information regarding the Afghanistan Papers and the video, “Collateral Murder”.

Now, compare to the current whistle blower. The DNC wants this whistle blower protected. His revelation? That Trump inquired about a dropped corruption case in Ukraine which involved the company Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, worked for. Joe Biden is seen on a widely disseminated video where he literally brags about successfully blackmailing the previous Ukrainian president to fire the prosecutor in that corruption case. Using $1 billion of your money as a bribe. Nothing about this is classified. Nothing involves torture. Nothing involves murder of civilians.

Which whistle blowers do you think deserve the most protection from prosecution?

One can also consider those who leaked the Steele Dossier to be whistle blowers. To name names, the one who leaked that to the media was John McCain. He was protected. The Steele Dossier was unquestionably a fabrication, most likely by Ukrainian officials. Trump appeared too friendly during his campaign to Russia, so Ukraine did not want Trump in office. The Dossier was used to obtain illegal FISA warrants on multiple occasions, on multiple people. Yet nobody involved was ever charged, even while the DNC and the FBI paid for the Steele Dossier, not one allegation of which was ever confirmed.

The media is in a feeding frenzy. The Democrats want to keep the scope of the impeachment proceedings narrowed not only to the transcript of the Ukraine call but to focus entirely on one paragraph of the transcript. In addition, they expect that no defense can be mounted, no witnesses, no countering documentation and no video evidence offered.

I know many people want to see Trump impeached. There are many charges for which he truly should have been considered for impeachment. The separation of families, violating the Constitution for his treatment of immigrants, war crimes (along with many others, including Hillary and Obama) are among those charges. Using the Ukraine transcript/call sets an alarmingly dangerous precedent. Once that precedent is set, it will be nearly impossible to erase. It opens the door for the Republicans to use similar charges of impeachment against future Democrat (or other) presidents. That is all aside from the fact that we wind up with Pence as president.

Some people believe this will never come to a vote but be dropped by the Democrats before it does. I personally expect the Democrats to drag the issue out, stalling all the way through 2020. No matter how we look at it, this is all theater.

The most dangerous precedent of all being set is the protection of a whistle blower based on protection of documented corruption by a DNC party elite, while whistle blowers who revealed literal war crimes and electoral crimes by our own government are punished. There is nothing about this which is democracy. There is nothing about this which is freedom. There is nothing about this which is justice.

I would say America no longer exists but that would be disingenuous. America very much exists. This is who we have always been.

NOW You Have A GOOD Reason To Impeach Trump!!

Many of you have wanted a reason to impeach Trump and call him a traitor. Now you have it!!

I am referring to the charges against Julian Assange. The charges against Assange are an absolute violation of the First Amendment.

It does not matter if you agree with him, like him, etc. If you believe any of the rumors that he is a bad house guest, smells bad, is arrogant or even if you think he raped someone when you have never looked into the history of that allegation. None of that has anything to do with freedom of the press.

Guess what? You will never agree with every journalist you come across. It’s doubtful you ever criticize another journalist for saying things you want to hear. If you believe in the Russiagate religion, have you ever criticized Rachel Maddow for not “reporting” (sic) anything which throws doubt on Russiagate?

Have you ever watched the video which first brought Wikileaks to the public eye? Where US military were shown killing civilians, including two children and two Reuters journalists in cold blood while laughing? If you have never seen it, then it is crucial for your understanding that you do watch it. This is what our military covered up. You can watch the video here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rXPrfnU3G0

That video is what is being termed espionage.

That video is why Chelsea Manning spent years in prison, much of it in solitary isolation, repeatedly suicidal during that time. That video is why Manning has again been arrested. Have you ever heard of double jeopardy?

That video is why Assange has spent years in the Ecuadorian embassy, knowing the US would have him extradited and charged. That video is why his prediction came true.

Assange is not being charged with anything having to do with the leaks in 2016 of the DNC. He could not be charged with espionage for that because the DNC is a private organization, NOT a government agency.

No, Wikileaks did not hack anyone. They publish documents which are provided to them by whistle blowers.

No, Wikileaks does not only publish documents regarding the US government. They publish documents from governments around the world. Yes, that includes the Russian government. If you have never seen the Wikileaks website yet have an opinion about it, you need to know just what you are talking about. Go there now. https://wikileaks.org/

No, there is no verifiable evidence that Russia had anything to do with the DNC leaks.

All evidence as analyzed by Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) has determined that the DNC data was leaked, not hacked. https://consortiumnews.com/2017/07/24/intel-vets-challenge-russia-hack-evidence/

The corporate media is only now coming to some minor realization that the indictment of Assange has troubling implications for them as well. Until this week, they have never once defended him and by extension you. All they care about is their profit.

So yes, obliteration of freedom of the press should be considered an impeachable offense. Yet the Democrats are not going to defend Assange. That would absolutely destroy their Russiagate narrative which they have perpetuated for 3 years at extreme cost (at least $30 BILLION) and risk of war with a country with more advanced nuclear technology than our own. Their strangle hold on power, their absolute denial of wrongdoing is more important than your right to know what our government is doing.

However, impeachment for this should not be a consideration. Absolute opposition, yes. Impeachment, no. I’ve asked before, if Trump is impeached, what then? Would that mean the charges against Assange would be dropped? Does it mean that the members of both parties and the “Intelligence” community (sic) will support our rights? Would it mean diplomacy instead of fever-pitch international tensions? Would it mean we would have no more rigging of our elections? That corporations would not hold your fate in their hands?

No, no, no and hell no.

All impeachment would mean would be an insane power struggle and your input would not be welcome in the least. First, Pence would be next in line for office. You think he is better than Trump? Have you not paid attention at all? Think the AL abortion bill is bad? Pence would be an absolute theocrat! Anti-abortion, anti-gay, pro-war, pro-regime change, pro-corporate.

For what? One year?

No, what we need is for Democrats and Independents to stand up for our rights. We need candidates who openly support Progressive policiesincluding actual transparency (not another Obama).

None of this is going away soon. The most important thing is for you to be informed and involved. Pay actual attention to what is being said and not said by your preferred candidate. Stop worshiping names!!!

BTW, if you support the indictment of Assange, that makes you a traitor as well. Because you personally oppose your own Constitutional rights. If we do not have freedom of the press to expose the wrongs of our government, then all hope is gone.

It’s Not Just About Assange

The arrest and possible extradition of Assange is not just about Assange. Some people are too blind, too brainwashed, too indoctrinated to see this.

It is not just about Assange.

It is not just about election fraud.

It is not just about Trump.

It is not just about Hillary.

It is not just about Russia.

It is not just about freedom of the press.

It is not just about freedom of speech.

It is not just about honesty.

It is not just about justice.

It is about freedom in general.

It is about fighting fascism.

It is about hearing the truth, even when we do not want to.

It is about knowing what our government is doing, even when we do not want to.

It is about true journalism, which challenges power and takes risks courageously.

It is about survival.

It is about us.

It is about me.

It is about you.

It is about the future.

It is about time to wake up.

Julian Assange

I’ve been considering writing something about Julian Assange and Wikileaks for quite some time now. For brevity, I’ll just refer to Assange because basically he is Wikileaks. Because I stand so much for freedom of speech and the press, it may seem strange I have not written anything about him until now. However, so much has been presented by larger voices than my own, spoken with clarity, validity and passion. Lee Greenwald, Matt Taibbi, Caitlin Johnstone, Jimmy Dore have all spoken out about Assange, sometimes multiple times.

I highly respect to work of the people I mention. So the challenge for me was to find a different take on the issue which has not been covered. I hate repeating the same talking points, seeming to parrot what others have said, no matter how valid. Between the points that have been covered and having written extensively about censorship in the past.

There is one aspect which has been barely mentioned and it is something I tend to focus on a lot. What would Assange’s motive be, what profit would be in it for him?

If you ask this question openly to Russiagaters and Julian haters, you can never get a clear answer. It is always some vague nonsense about “sowing chaos”, “causing division” or some similar claptrap. I expect the reason they think there is any validity to their view is because these are people who can think no more clearly than the drama queens they are. These are people who are addicted to Jerry Springer, the Kardashians, Big Brother and other trailer trash, mindless shows that portray people of their own mindset, that causing problems is a valid profit motive in and of itself.

Anyone of even the slightest intellectual capacity does not think in those terms. The fact that those shows are popular in the US says a lot about this country and it is nothing positive.

If charges against a person are prosecuted in a court of law, to genuinely prove guilt three things must at minimum be proven- Means, motive and opportunity. In this case, means and opportunity are there. Motive is the aspect in question and yet MSM and influences in our own government attempt to divert all attention or make up the most insane, flimsy, unbelievable motive imaginable. Yet to reality show addicts it sounds completely reasonable. Though even on reality shows, the instigator is never satisfied with the initial drama. They continually attempt to add to that drama. Something Assange has not done.

The narrative of Russiagaters and Assange haters consistently make vague claims that Wikileaks and Russia are tied together, yet cannot offer any evidence to that effect. They claim Wikileaks has never published anything critical of Russia. Which is an indication they have never looked at the Wikileaks website, with tens of thousands of pages of Russian documents implication corruption in that country. Yet they ask you to believe. Never type in www.wikileaks.org and see for yourself.

They ask you to believe Assange promoted Trump by omission of leaked documents against Trump. They never mention that Wikileaks does not hack anyone, they publish documents which are provided to them and carefully verified. Which is why Wikileaks has never had to retract a single document in 12 years.

They ask you to believe that no person or organization could have altruistic ethics and standards in the pursuit of truth. Even as they claim to have those ethics while taking money from war profiteers. Money in steady streams which they stand to lose if enough people believe what Wikileaks publishes just enough to ask questions and demand answers. Their income sources have been known to lie, cheat, steal, cause the failure of nations, enslavement and outright murder of millions of innocent people globally. For the goal of enslaving and murdering millions more, as long as there is profit in it. Yet those war profiteers and their paid media, their owned elected officials are allegedly “the good guys”.

They ask you to believe that Wikileaks posted falsified images of DNC emails after they or Russia hacked the DNC servers. Yet they cannot explain why the DNC servers have never been subpoenaed or examined by the FBI. They cannot explain exactly what was inaccurate. They cannot explain why anyone would bother creating tens of thousands of false documents if they had gone to the trouble of hacking the DNC. They cannot explain why the DNC fired 5 people in July 2016 because of those emails. They cannot explain Seth Rich’s murder. They cannot explain why the DNC never released the original emails to illustrate any difference between the leaked and original documents.

They ask you to believe that Assange fears rape charges which were dropped in 2012. Or he fears going to court for not showing up for a court hearing related to the same dropped charges.

They ask you to believe he fears imprisonment so much that he has remained imprisoned for 8 years without medical or dental care.

They ask you to believe he wants to get rich while remaining incarcerated and unable to spend the money.

Where do you find any profit motive for Assange and Wikileaks in any of the above? They have been targeted and threatened, fought entire governments to remain online and continue publishing the truth.

Assange and Wikileaks are rare today but for so many of us are completely trustworthy, honorable and respectable. The absolute opposite of their detractors. They fight for truth. They fight for freedom of the press. They already belong in all modern history books and in future history books for generations as heroes. We should all strive to have that level of dedication to the truth.

The ones who all belong in prison are those whose guilt is revealed on the Wikileaks platform, who seek to silence and punish those who reveal the truth.
